Hi, welcome back to the Personality Hacker Podcast. My name is Joe Mark Witt.

And I'm Antonia Dodge. Joel and I have been trying to figure out a podcast topic and I keep having this huge block.

And the reason why is because I'm going through one of my obsessive cycles again, which is, I don't know if this is the thing of my type. I have a feeling it might be, but let's pretend it's just a thing everybody goes through so that I don't feel so isolated.

But I end up picking up things that I really love and obsessing over them.

And right now, the thing I'm obsessed with is a book I started reading called Sapiens.

Sapiens is a New York Times bestseller. It's been translated into like over 25

languages. It is an absolutely fantastic book and I can't stop thinking about it.

The challenge is I'm not through I'm not all the way through the book. I'm like

maybe I don't know to I know I'm like probably

about a third of the way through I'm not even halfway through the book and and I I don't

always like talking about something until I get a complete picture of it, but I can't not talk about it.

So here we are. And so in this particular podcast, in order to cater to my weirdness we're going to talk about a book I'm only a third of the way through and I'm going to talk about some of the things that I've gotten out of this book only a third way through because it is so fascinating. So the book again is called

Sapiens and let me grab it here. It is by Yval Nova, Noah Harare and the

subtitle is a brief History of humankind.

This is maybe the best book so far that I've read that expresses and explains how humans went through each of the early graves levels.

So if you're into the graves model or spiral dynamics, this is a fantastic book.

Now there's been other amazing books

that I think walk through some of major cultural revolutions

and things that were really influential

in sort of how humans got to where we got to.

I think another book that I got obsessed with

was a book called Guns Germs and Steel

...
