Summary
Shortly after moving into a house in Portland with her family, she began waking up in the middle of the night to something she couldn’t explain.
Standing in the bedroom doorway was a tall, dark figure—completely black, darker than the room itself. At first she tried to ignore it, convincing herself it was just a trick of the light or a dream.
But when she finally mentioned it to her mother, the response caught her completely off guard. Because her mother had been seeing the same figure too.
Even now, after living in the house for many years, the family still isn’t entirely sure what—or who—has been sharing the home with them.
