So on Love Murder, I usually introduce the show by saying it's where human interest and

true crime meet.

All of our previous episodes, 12, because we're on unlucky number 13 or lucky number 13.

Yeah, so for number 13, we are doing something a little bit different and we are kind of veering more into the more traditional true crime vein.

So the story I'm about to tell you is about a husband and wife serial killer duo named Charlene and

Gerald Gallego. They are better known as the sex slave or love slave murderers.

Over a 26 month period between 1978 and 1980, the pair went on a reign of terror in three states that

included kidnapping sexual assault torture and murder it was the couple's sex slave fantasies that resulted in the deaths of nine women,

six of whom were only in their teens, one man and one unborn child.

Oh, yeah, so this is a bloody gruesome, horrifying ride

and definitely a deviation from some of our standard love triangle gone wrong fair.

So please also consider this your trigger warning because there will be molestation, sexual assault.

I very briefly touch on a lot of the more gnarly stuff. You won't

hear a lot about the exact torture, but there will be mentions of those things.

So if you are sensitive, this might not be the episode for you.
