words of one man, a man who used that power against others in ways that were irrevocably damaging.

On October 30, 2012, Detective Penny Cole of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a call,

sending her to a potential crime scene near Longview Lake in Kansas. As she approached the wooded

and somewhat isolated location, she saw exactly what the

911 call was talking about. Sat there in the parking lot was a tan Ford Windstar, that, though

seemingly innocuous at first glance, held the body of a young woman. Lying curled up in the third row of seats,

the woman was wearing a light blue flee sweater,

black sweatpants, running shoes,

and a diamond ring on her left ring finger.

She also had a white plastic trash bag

pulled tightly over her head

with the red ties tethered underneath her chin.

From the looks of things, whoever this woman was, her cause of death seemed to be suicide.

Continuing to search the scene, police found a plastic Walmart bag with only a cell phone inside,

and lying nearby were unfinished thank you notes for a wedding
