And here we are back at the most unusual Bible study that I've ever been in.

My own Bible study.

Grow on purpose, becoming the person your future requires.

And remember this verse, do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

We want to be careful about that spirit that gets upon us. You know, the people,

the Pharisees would sit in the temple and they would watch Jesus teach in order that they might

catch him. Some people literally view in order to see if they can disagree with something, see if

they can grab something.

Well, if you're doing that, you've got a religious devil and you're operating like a Pharisee.

Well, there are people that do that.

And I hate to say, but in the political arena, it's like that way.

Once you're on the left, everything this other person does, it's strained through some kind of a weird filter that's looking for any granular proof. Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, looking for the wrong statement, the wrong sound, but in the world of social media, it'll go viral, you know? And this is all, these are all part of the traps that are around us, and I want you to remember this. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome

evil with good. And that's why we even pray for our enemies. Because Paul knew something. He said,

pray for them and be patient with them so that maybe God peradventure could give them a spirit

of repentance that they could be taken out of the control of Satan

who has captured them to do his will. See when Paul was looking at people that were like

maniacally against him and crazy and like you know what I'm talking about those kinds of people

he was seeing them as a prisoner of Lucifer in a little fortress in their head that control their mind.

And he said, maybe if we can talk and be reasonable, if the grace of God, maybe they'll pick the

lock and open up a door or a window and maybe they could escape.

But I want you to remember this.

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love.
