This morning we continue our series through the gospel according to Matthew.

Our text for today is Matthew chapter 11 versus 7 through 15 again that's Matthew chapter 11

verse 7 through 15 I'll read us our text in its entirety when I finish reading the text I'm going to say

this is the word of the Lord at which point I would appreciate very much if you would respond by saying

thanks be to God one final time our text for today is the gospel according to Matthew chapter 11 verses 7 through 15 the

Bible says this as they went away Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John what did

you go out into the wilderness to see a reed shaken by the wind what then did you go out to

see a man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing

are in king's houses. What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a

prophet. This is he of whom it is written. Behold, I send my messenger before your face,

who will prepare your way before you.

Truly, I say to you, among those born of women,

there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist,

yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptist
