We're continuing our series through the book of Matthew.

That is the Gospel, according to Matthew, I've said before.

I'll say it once more.

We do not have four Gospels.

We have one gospel, and that's the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Gospel of God.

But we do have this one gospel according to four

different men inspired by the Holy Spirit. So it's the technical sense. It's not the gospel of Matthew,

the gospel of John, the gospel of Mark and Luke, but it's the gospel of Jesus Christ according

to Matthew and according to Mark and according to Luke and according to John.

So we have four different perspectives inspired by the Holy Spirit, human perspectives, but purified by the Holy Spirit so that they do not err in their accounts. Four different human

accounts inspired and protected by the Holy Spirit of one gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
