Summary

When the Holy Spirit arrived in Acts 2, there was a seismic shift in the climate of the city. In our new series, POWER-FULL, Pastor Louie Giglio encourages us around what this could mean for our cities if we are open to being filled with the Holy Spirit. — Our cities are full of people searching for what is real, what will last, where they fit into the story that's unfolding around them. As Christians, we have been called into the ministry of reconciliation, being filled with the Holy Spirit and playing our part in the coming to life of the people in our neighborhoods, cities, and world.

0:28.0	I can't think of a better way to arc our way to above and beyond Sunday than to come back to finish our series on the Book of Acts.

0:40.0	We're going to come back and finish it over the next few weeks together under the word Powerful.
0:46.0	Not powerful, but powerful. That extra L is a difference maker in this series because what Axis saying to you and me
0:56.0	is that God wants to blow heaven-win into your life so that the sale of your life takes on the inertia of the Kingdom Power of God.
1:08.0	And that you do things that you couldn't do in your own strength.
1:12.0	Go places that you could not go under your own power.
1:16.0	And see God accomplish things that no human could do in and of themselves.
1:23.0	God wants your life to be defined as powerful or to flip it around the other way full of power.
1:33.0	And that's what we see in the story of the Book of Acts.
1:37.0	We're going to look today in chapter 2, one of the great moments in history, period.
1:42.0	Not just the history of the church, certainly that, but one of the great moments in the history of humanity and in the history of the Kingdom of God.
1:51.0	Just to do a quick catch-up, if you don't know about the Book of Acts, it follows the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
1:59.0	It's written by Luke, who also wrote Luke's gospel.
2:03.0	And Acts is the account of what happened to the people of God after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
2:10.0	In chapter 1, Jesus is alive. He's appearing to people and he's clarifying our mission.
2:17.0	We see this in chapter 1, verse 3. Notice this verse with me.
