I'm Devin Carroll, joined by my co-host, John. Howdy. John, what happened? We didn't stay gone long, did we? No, we really

didn't. And, you know, our last podcast was announcing that we were not going to be recording anymore,

but I do think we said in that podcast, hey,

if something big comes up, we're going to come back and record a podcast. And so it has.

It has come up. And you have been neck deep in studying this. But what is it? What's happening?

So we have a spending bill that's got to pass, and in the last second, they threw the Secure Act into the spending bill, which means it's a done deal.

Yeah.

So we covered the Secure Act in a prior episode.

I think it was back Mayish is when the Secure Act passed the House the first time.

Correct.

And sometime right after that, we covered that act and talked about some of the stuff.

Now, it's changed some since then, I think.

Yeah, there's, well, and we didn't know back then because you had two different bills.

Right, that's true.

The Senate version and the House version.

Yeah. And this turns out to be the House version, basically, as what's going through now.

And so, yeah, it's a done deal. Effective midnight December 31st, 2019. Now, has the Senate already approved the spending bill?
