Welcome back to daily breath. I'm De Park Chopra. The 10th secret says that life and death are naturally compatible.

By shedding the image of yourself that belongs to the past, you can make the secret personal.

So let's try. Sit with your eyes closed and let's start imagining a few things.

So right now, imagine yourself as an infant.

Of course, you can't recall an image as an infant unless you have seen photos of yourself.

But if you can't recall, either create one or visualize one or look at an old photo.

Now do the same thing with yourself.

Imagine yourself as a toddler.

And now continue up to your present age and go on to see yourself in

stages older than you are now. So for me that would be imagining myself in the future as 74, 75, all the way up to dusty death.

End with two final images, one of you as old but in good health, the other on your deathbed.

By the way I do this every night.

When the image of yourself dying is gone, then sit quietly and feel what

remains. Try it right now. Very interesting thing will happen. The presence of the witness remains.

Try and get rid of that which is imagining right now.

In other words, get rid of the presence

in which imagining occurs.

Imagine your non-existence.

Imagine not existing.

See, non-existence is not an experience.

Therefore you can't imagine it.

That should tell you something, that your true self is beyond birth and death.
