There's nothing more frustrating than sitting down to edit a completed

manuscript only to have your bubble of anticipation pop

with the realization that this thing stinks.

But on the other hand, there's little in this life that's better than sitting down and getting lost in a tail that you just happen to write.

Of course, as parents of said enthralling tale were always more

susceptible to its charms than is the average reader, but it's still an encouraging sign.

I've been engaging in just such enjoyment in my initial cleanup edit of Dreamlander.

With the exception of a few minor baubles, it's come together just as I hoped it would.

So that big wish of air you here? That's my sigh of relief and contentment.
