0:06.1	sins that are hard to define.
0:08.4	Oh, yes, I know the dictionaries and the books are full of definitions of pride, but in reality
0:13.8	pride is better understood by its symptoms than by definition.
0:20.2	So what are the symptoms of pride?
0:22.0	Well, listen carefully.
0:22.8	I'm going to read nine of them.
0:24.8	Nine symptoms of pride.
0:26.4	One, stealing from God's glory and taking credit for gifts that he has given us.
0:32.4	Number two, self-centeredness.
0:35.6	Number three, a determined spirit. Number four, the feeling of superiority.
0:43.5	Number five, psychism. Number six, a judgmental and a critical spirit. Number seven, I wish it wasn't there, but it is here.
0:57.3	Impatience.
0:59.1	Number eight is unteachable spirit.
1:03.8	And number nine is self-pity.
1:07.7	Self-pity.
1:08.9	The truth is that we all, at some point in our lives, and I'm talking about Christians, believers
1:15.5	who know and love the Lord, each one of us at some point in our lives have struggled with
1:21.0	one of these symptoms or more or all of these symptoms.
1:27.3	And so the question is, how do we have victory over pride?
1:31.3	I'm not the kind of preacher that I'm going to hammer things to death about pride, but I'm going
1:37.3	to focus on the positive living.
