Proverbs chapter 1 verse 7 the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge

fools despise wisdom and instruction.

I cannot wait to pray through a different verse from Proverbs

in each of the upcoming pray the Word episodes and in the process

to find ourselves praying for wisdom you think about God speaking to Solomon who

wrote most of these proverbs saying,

what do you want? As soon as he becomes king, what do you want?

And Solomon says, I want wisdom above everything else.

And God is pleased with that request and pleased to give

him wisdom.

And then now think about it, verse 7 says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge or wisdom or instruction or

prudence or guidance or learning that's so the other words that Proverbs one uses

it all starts with the fear of God. So think about Solomon. Not only from the very beginning of his

leadership does he ask for wisdom, but from the very beginning of his leadership among God's people he builds the temple

this place where the glory of God dwells among his people where people can

become and behold God in all of his glory.

And so what we see in Solomon's leadership, don't miss this.
