Summary

The gift of unplugging is reclaiming your joy, presence, and peace. Hannah Brencher (and myself!) know what it feels like to be torn apart, distracted, overwhelmed, and overstimulated, and how often that starts with our phones and our connectivity. This conversation is full of hope for you, doable baby steps to unplug in the ways that work best for you, what Jesus says about being present, how to find technology boundaries and even a fun challenge. I'm Hey friends, welcome back to another episode of Truth Talks with Tara.

0:31.0

We are just a little over a month into this new year, if you're listening to this on the day that it comes out. And I love

0:39.0

fresh starts. I love New Year's. But as we know from studies done on the world, this can kind of

0:45.1

be the time where people start to say, hey, these are where your New Year's resolutions,

0:49.1

all of your goals start to become a little more difficult. Or we drop that gym membership,

0:53.1

or we're not as diligent

1:11.8

the podcast more about unplugging and being more present and having a better relationship with our

1:16.6

phones. And yet I really don't feel like I have had that until the last, I want to say six

1:21.3

months to even a year. And so I'm really looking forward to having that fresh perspective and

1:26.5

having our guest, Hannah, on the show.

1:28.8

We have the one, the only Hannah Brencher. And so I want her to introduce herself before we get

1:33.3

into the episode. So Hannah, will you tell us a little bit about who you are, what you do? And then to

1:37.9

tack that on, I want to hear a favorite thing that is bringing you joy in your every day.

1:42.5

It could be mundane, could be meaningful, whatever that

1:45.0

looks like for you. Yeah. Thank you so much for having me. I am so excited to be here. My name is

1:52.9

Hannah. If we have not met yet, I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I am an author. I'm a wife. I'm a mom to a little four-year-old girl. And I am an online educator.

2:05.2

I love teaching people about the power of disciplines and habits and self-discipline. And, you know,
