Christ is the one our hearts long for. He's the one who can fulfill our deepest need. He did

not come to destroy. Rather, he came to fulfill. If you have

your Bible, turn now to Matthew chapter 5. We'll begin in verse 17 as Adrian Rogers begins part one of

the secret of fulfillment. We've been studying through the sermon on the Mount, and the title of this general study is

building on the rock. Jesus said whenever anyone hears these words of mine and does them,

he's like a wise man that built his house upon a rock. I read here Matthew chapter 5 and verse 17.

Jesus said, think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets.

I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one till shall in

no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled. Now the Lord Jesus said of himself, I didn't

come to destroy.

I came to fulfill.

You needn't be afraid of the Lord Jesus Christ.
