We don't see things as clearly as God sees them. Our vision is imperfect. Whether it’s double-standard living, harboring envy, hiding something from your spouse, or some other sin, here is the reality: The secret life is not so secret. A secret life of sin can stunt our growth, limit our service, and harm our reputations. This episode explores common areas where we tend to justify things that are unbiblical and displeasing to God, followed by suggested solutions. 0:22.1	We cover the issues of life and the secret life is definitely an issue. I was talking to the Lord
0:28.6	in prayer one day and I was asking him to search me and try me as the scripture advises us to do
0:35.0	in Psalm 139, verse 23. All of a sudden a face appeared in my mind,
0:40.8	and I knew at that moment that the Lord had put his all-knowing finger on a secret sin.

1:14.5	ask the Lord to show me if there was anything that I was doing that was displeasing to him,
1:19.7	he sure did show me. But it was a surprise that he brought up a person. You see, I was nurturing
1:25.6	a dislike for someone, and this just was not pleasing to the Lord.
1:30.2	Now, I thought I had a good reason after all the person had been unkind, extremely, extremely
1:36.5	unkind. But the Lord wanted me to stop it right away. So I yielded yet another secret part of my
1:43.0	life to the Lord. I needed to get over that unkindness
1:47.6	and release that person and forgive and move on. And if I didn't, the scripture's clear, I was at risk
1:54.1	for bitterness. Now, maybe that doesn't sound so bad to you, but it was bad enough for the Lord to
