Since early September, U.S. forces have carried out nine strikes on boats in the Caribbean

and the Pacific, killing as many as 40 individuals. Donald Trump says the strikes are legal

and that the boats are trafficking drugs, but he has not offered any evidence to make his

claim. This is an act of lawlessness.

The question is, is it a precursor to a bigger war with Venezuela?

Leanne, I want to talk about the obvious lawless strikes by the Trump administration

killing all these people in the Pacific and the Caribbean and whether it is indeed a precursor

to a war with Venezuela. But I also, for our audience, wanted to go over

what happened during the Bush administration and the Obama administration, because much of

the same lawlessness was carried out. The U.S. conducted drone strikes, targeted killings,

assassinations, a massive global torture program, massive illegal spying

program on people in the United States, including all U.S. citizens. I want to go over this
