listeners and readers out there are going to want to to check out and it's called never mind we'll do it ourselves and it's about this is a true

joint mission I mean you have Air Force CIA Army guys I think every other

Organization inside the United States government was involved in one point or another. And this was about the first drones that we used,

UAVs, however you wanted to call it,

but how we got them armed for the very first time and it wasn't an easy process and it wasn't overnight, but these guys got it done in kind of record time. We have Alec Beerbauer and Marcuda with us and they just wrote the book and we're going to talk about all of this. But before we do that, I want to welcome all you guys to the

Yeah, let's fill our listeners in. Let's go back to the beginning. How this this program got off the ground and it was

all the way back to the Clinton administration and there was I guess some hard burn about

Assets on the ground in Afghanistan which isn't an easy thing anyway, but can you fill our listeners in on some of the

background on this? Sure no I appreciate it and so this is Alex talking and the the

background of this really started from a it was a

presentation or a briefing that then CIA director George Tenet did to then President Bill Clinton and Sandy Berger was the National

Security Advisor at the time and Richard Clark was the Counterterrorism Coordinator for the National Security Advisor. the

national security advisor and well none of us were in the room for that presentation
