Summary

This is a Real Ghost Stories CLASSIC EPISODE!

In 2006, Adeline worked overnight on the second floor of a historic hotel in San Juan — a floor of glass corridors, dim conference rooms, and a bridge suspended above the lobby.

From the beginning, one room felt wrong. A door shook violently with no one near it. Heavy footsteps echoed inside an empty restroom. And something began interacting with her in ways that felt deliberate — almost personal.

When a voice finally spoke, it didn’t threaten. It claimed familiarity. Others working that floor had their own stories. Some left in hysterics. Some refused to clean certain rooms.

Adeline lasted three more weeks. She still doesn’t know what it meant — but she has never forgotten it.

Today on Real Ghost Stories Online. Who has the best ghost stories in a haunted hotel? The Housekeepers, of course.

0:10.0

This is Real Ghost Stories Online. It's funny because not that long ago, me and Harper were staying at a haunted hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

0:18.9

And who did I go ask for ghost stories? The housekeeping staff. As we were walking to the room, there was somebody there, and they heard me and her talking about it, and they chimed in right away. And, like, it's not on this floor. It's the floor up here where it is. So we were on the wrong floor for the ghosts, which I'm kind of okay with. But those are the folks who are going to have

0:38.9

weird things. And she also said that it all, you know, that's how that tends to work. So,

0:47.9

I never really thought about that, the housekeepers, but they would. They're in every room.

0:53.4

Exactly. You know, the front desk people work at the front desk.

0:56.6

The housekeepers, they're all over the place.

0:58.9

Yeah, yeah, without a doubt.

1:00.5

It's just interesting how that all plays out and functions as to where the ghosts may be.

1:08.0

And the housekeepers, they're the ones that are going to know it better than most.

1:12.5

Let's go to this story. It says, my name is Adeline Rivera. I have a most unusual story. In 2006,

1:19.9

I was working the graveyard shift at the Carabee Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I was working for a company subcontracted by the hotel for the maintenance of the public areas.

1:35.4

As it was, I was in charge of cleaning the second floor of the hotel where the small ballrooms and business center were,

1:46.3

and conference rooms were located.

1:48.3

Let me tell you a little about the layout of the floor.

1:53.2

On one side of the floor were the small ballrooms and the business center,

1:58.8

and on the other was the conference room area. To get to the

2:01.7

conference room area, you had to cross a bridge made out of stainless steel and thick glass and

2:06.8

on both ends of the bridge. There were these thick glass double doors with stainless steel

2:14.0

fixtures. You were standing on the bridge and staring downward. You could see

2:18.7

the lobby of the hotel with the front desk, the restaurant, and the bar areas just below you. Also,

2:23.9

you could see both ends of the floor clearly, since the doors were made out of clear glass.
