And I am joined by my good buddy Adam Emmert as we are talking Seahawks draft. And in particular today, the Seahawks fifth pick overall.

Adam, how you doing?

Man, I'm right as rain.

It was nice to have a couple days to process the draft experience there

and be able to kind of go back and really deep dive on a few of these guys.

But there was one dude that I knew a fair amount about before this

draft. And I almost made a video saying, this is the way that they should go early in the draft.

And I didn't have the Cajonais to do it. And I chickened out. And I, I'm really sad that I did

because this would have been a really nice, you were right feather in my cap, and I missed out on it.

And that's our number five big.

I think we can take a little bit of credit for it, though,

because we did spend some time convincing ourselves of the idea that this could be the year

to go ahead and draft cornerback.

Because when you're talking positional

valuable, best player available, those types of things, Devin Witherspoon really fit

those types of check blocks, right? Because he was among the best players available,

a high value position being an outside corner. Those guys make a lot of money on the open market

after their first contract. It was technically a position of need, maybe a somewhat of a position

of luxury for the Seahawks, but how can you argue against having two elite corners on

either side of the defense? They didn't have that. So in that sense, it was a need.

Oh, it was a need in the terms of, do you want to be dominant on defense?
