but there seems to be no escape. Unless you're a miracle like the sea wave, alone in a drift,

This is Aaron Hable. The Duperalt family were finally going to do it.

Arthur, the father, had been dreaming aloud for years of a family adventure. Sure, they'd been on

plenty of vacations, but for the former Navyman, Fun and the Sun often left him wanting,

as gazing out over the ocean brought on a strong urge to be sailing

it rather than laying beside it. He knew that the years were going to fly by, and that one day

he'd come home from his successful optometry trade and find that the kids had morphed into young

adults, and that his plans for their childhood had been thwarted by time.

In Arthur's opinion, travel was the best education, and his wife, Gene, was of a like mind.

A little background on the couple.

They'd met in the military while working at the Pentagon.

Gene, a beautiful brunette from Nebraska, had been a secretary.

Arthur, a rugged, reddish-aired man,

had been finishing up his military career in the world-famous institution's pharmacy.

The two married in 1944, and when Arthur was discharged, soon after in 1945,

Gene accompanied him back to his home state of Wisconsin, where they soon started a family,

and Arthur set to establishing himself as one of the state's most respected optometrists.
