This is Holy Family School of Faith.

So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

We are in Peter's boat on the Sea of Galilee.

It's actually not Peter's boat.

But we are in a boat on the sea of Galilee.

And we're going to pray our meditation right from the boat.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for and I especially

went off this rosary for Jeannie Schuman and for Joanie. So we'll pause for a moment.

Jesus shows us the way to happiness, a meaningful life and peace,

by the way he lived his active and productive life because it was founded on prayer. At the beginning of his public ministry he spent 40 days in prayer and fasting.

Mark chapter one tells us that a great while before day Jesus went out to a lonely place

that cave we saw, solitude and silence and there he prayed.

After his teaching and the multiplication of the loaves. He dismisses the crowds and he goes up into the hills

and he spends all night in prayer. And he ends his earthly life in prayer in the Garden of Gisemene, while Peter and the Apostles slept, and then they were too weak to face the trial, and they forsook Jesus and fled. The catechism says it is by prayer that Jesus

vanquishes the tempter both at the outset of his public ministry and in the ultimate struggle of his agony.

Such a battle and such a victory become possible only through prayer.

Our Father who art in heaven, hollow it be your name,

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily breath and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who dress fast fast against us and lead us in

intimidation that deliver us from any more.
