0:41.5	So, yeah, no, we took a week off. You know, summer is coming to a close.
0:48.4	And this week we're going to talk about, well, we're going to talk about maniac cops.
0:57.4	And in particular, the maniac cop in the uh titular you know in the movie maniac cop uh but we'll we'll uh we'll talk about some others
1:05.2	um it's a rich vein mania yeah it is a it is a very rich vein, including in real life, unfortunately.
1:15.4	But Maniac Cop, I feel like, I mean, so Maniac Cop came out in 1988.
1:21.2	It's directed by William Lustig and written and produced by Larry Cohen,
1:25.6	who himself is a director with a pretty rich, you know,

1:32.5	Maniac Cop became a franchise.
1:35.7	There are several sequels.
1:37.6	At least Maniac Cop 2 and 3 came out in the early 90s.
1:41.6	And there's a remake in the works supposed to come out next year, 2018, which will be 30 years since the original, directed by none other than what is the William Rayfing, the guy who did the pusher series.
