Hello and welcome to a special double-header edition of the bunker for election week.

It's not just the locals in England where everybody knows that Labour is heading for a historic pounding.

It's the national elections in Wales and Scotland too.

It's fair to say we haven't exactly covered Scotland and Wales closely on the pod, largely because we haven't got anybody there.

So today we are making amends.

And just like when Guns and Roses released two albums on the same day, we're releasing two bonkers today,

covering everything you need to know about the elections, issues and balance of power in Scotland and in Wales,

especially if like me you don't know much at all about it.

For this episode, Scotland, the Scottish National Party, are apparently on course for fifth term in Holyrood, with Labour and Reform in a close battle for second place.

Labour seemed to be in with a chance as recently as last year,

but Kyr Starmer's huge national unpopularity seems to have stalled that progress, despite

leader Anna Sauer's attempt to distance himself from Stama, even calling for him to resign.
