you listening. What I would start off with how very much in touch with the symbolic is the

president, along with the administration. They have learned the trick of saying something that the Western world doesn't get,

but that the Islamic world notes very well.

And this is something, this is a game that has been played by Islamic leaders for many years now, which is saying

something for their followers in the Arab street and then saying something entirely different

for Westerners, of course, to whom it is permitted to lie.

And the fact is so well known today that very often when, for instance, Iran says

something that shows their utter disdain for the Iran so-called treaty, something the leadership

in Tehran says that shows blithering contempt for the agreement.

The response in Western capitals is, oh, you don't have to pay much attention to that.
