I'm in a city called La Crescenta, California, which is a suburb of Los Angeles.

I'm driving in a black Chevy SUV up Foothill Boulevard towards Ramsdale.

And with a man named Jo Loya.

And we're looking up the street at the corner.

There's a bank.

But anyway, so I walked to the bank after I parked and thought, okay, I'm far away.

Yeah, that's good, let's walk.

Let's see what would have happened.

What's like, what's going through your mind is you're making this walk? This is a long walk.

I'm grateful for the walk. I'm grateful for the distance now.

When is walking to a bank, not just walking to a bank?

When you're walking to a bank robbery.

And you're the robber.

My body knew what I was doing.

So my stomach would start getting a notch, my teeth would be grinding, and so what I would do is I would pull out these memories of humiliation when I was a boy.

Humiliation by my dad, there was numerous ones I pulled out and I just kind of like rubbed on

them like they were like religious medallions to draw power and strength from right? And once

I pulled all those things out this this rage would rise in me.

And this rage was like the Great Wall of China,

man. I would just come up and shut everything down.
