I have suffered from anxiety for much of my life and my daughter has anxiety also some

ADHD issues and I think after two years or so of wearing the mask and not at all being

anti-maskers or anti-bacars we're just really looking forward to seeing able to literally

and furiously breathe a little bit.

Many of us know what it feels like to have anxiety even if we don't call it that.

It may feel like a tightness in your chest or an overwhelming fear of something that is

yet to happen and it's no surprise that the pandemic has made this overwhelming fear

worse.

According to the CDC, adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder grew

more than 5% between 2020 and 2021.

We're now entering into a new phase of the pandemic as some states start to loosen their

mask mandates.

For some people like the voicemail we heard at the opening of the show, the changes

are welcome one.

But for others, lacks are mask guidance as one of the things causing them anxiety.

Anna says, quote, I'm anxious about changing COVID guidance is because my child still cannot

receive a vaccine.

I don't know how many different ways to explain this to other people.

I have a three year old who cannot be vaccinated.

That means I as her parent working in an office environment and with another older sibling

going to school have to do my best to protect her.

Currently CDC guidance still says you should wear a mask indoors in public.
