live. I'm Justin Stenstrom from Elite Man Magazine.com, and my guest today is Dr. Jeffrey

Miller. Thanks so much for coming on the show, man. My pleasure, Justin. Great to be here.

Can you just tell our listeners a little more about your background for those who may not be as familiar

with who Jeffrey Miller is.

Can you just kind of explain what you do as a evolutionary psychologist?

Yeah, so evolutionary psychologists like me, we study human nature and we think a lot about

how our ancestors back in prehistory survived and found mates and raised kids and all.

We think about all the challenges that they used to face and how that shaped human emotions and preferences.

And I focused most of my career on human mating and men's and women's sexual preferences, what we want in a partner and why we want that.

So that's kind of evolutionary psychology in a nutshell.

And I'm a tenured professor in psychology at University of New Mexico, so that's my day job.

And what exactly do you do?

What does the scientific research for human mating look like?

And how do you actually go about proving whether something is true or false or maybe

finding like a new discovery or something like that?
