I told you last week that we were going to endeavor to embark on a study of conversations with the Lord Jesus.

There are so many compelling and riveting incidents like that in the four gospels

that we're going to be looking at them for an indetermined time at this juncture until the Lord gives us some different direction.

Focusing on Christ is the most important, the most transforming thing that we can do.

So let's look at him in a conversation in the 19th chapter of Luke, Luke chapter 19.

A very familiar story, but one that illustrates the greatest truth of his life.

Luke 19.

He entered Jericho and was passing through.

And there was a man called by the name of Zacchaeus.

He was a chief tax collector and he was rich. Zekeus was trying to see who Jesus was and was unable

because of the crowd for he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up

into a sycamore tree in order to see him for he was about to pass through that way.

When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him,

Zechias, hurry and come down, for today, I must stay at your house.
