Welcome to our daily rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. It's called to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Once there was a brother and a sister. The brother's name was Lazarus and the sister's name was Mary.

We don't know much about their lives before they met Jesus. Many of the church fathers, such as Augustine, Jerome, John

Chrysostom, and Gregory the Great, say that the sister of Martha and Lazarus is Mary Magdalene,

from whom Jesus drove out seven demons.

But the main thing we do know is that they were both deeply devoted to Jesus.

We know they were his friends.

But we also know something about their debt to Jesus, because we know that Christ rescued both of them.

We know that Jesus actually rescued Lazarus from death itself, and we know that Jesus rescued his sister, Mary,

from something much, much worse than death.

When we meditate on this brother and sister, we come to know exactly why Christ

came as Savior and what that means for us.

Our father who aren't in heaven, hallow would be your name, Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who

trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil a month.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee,

Blessed art thou among women.

Blessed is a fruit of thy womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, mother of God.
