Even though The Santa Clause isn't exactly a go-to Christmas favorite for any of us, it's been requested enough times over the years that we decided to give it a shot. Needless to say, our memories were pretty hazy. In fact, one of us had never seen it at all. So we knew going in that the rose-tinted glasses weren't going to be much of a factor this time.
Topics include: the myriad of plot holes & unanswered questions and why they stick out so much more here than they do in similar fantasy fare, other actors that were considered before Tim Allen came aboard, a persuasive argument for never eating ranch dressing ever again, how a more formulaic Screenwriting 101 approach could have cleaned up a lot of the film's issues, the nightmarish truth about these reindeer, an attempt to figure out what exactly is happening with the E.L.F.S., and much much more!
