I'm the Illuminati and today we're talking about an industry that has come up quite a few times before,

supplements.

Urban life is probably the best example I've talked about so far

that illustrates how dangerous these products

and how unregulated they can be.

Largely, vitamins and supplements aren't regulated by the FDA, so they don't undergo

rigorous safety testing.

While that might be good for a company that's trying to produce them, they are obviously not what's best for consumers.

But before we get into all the nitty gritty details about how this industry has been negligent

and downright harmful, let's get into the history of why the supplement industry is

barely regulated in the first place. Let's get into it. The NCBI, the National Center for Biotechnology Information, brings us all the way back to the 1800s when this first began.
