0:21.7	we realized that there were some posts that only went out to a select group of listeners. And many of you, if you've
0:26.3	been following the podcast for the past two or three years, have not heard these posts. And these
0:31.4	are short answers to tough theological and apologetics questions. Here's today's.

0:50.9	Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis.
0:53.4	It struck a chord with some and clanged
0:55.6	like an out-of-tune banjo with others. Sure, there were some fence-sitters who just wanted everyone
1:00.5	to get along, but for the most part, people either really, really loved it or they wanted to
1:05.4	burn it to the ground. Here are two comments I received that represent the reactions.
1:13.2	When I read your post, a few silent tears ran down my face. It was full of grace, full of truth. And, you are a judgmental B word. Yes,
1:23.2	that was the message in its entirety. One book review, two radically different reactions. I noticed that a
1:29.9	number of the divergent comments and messages were centered on my explanation of the gospel.
1:35.1	Some found it repulsive, while others found it life-giving. But that's what the gospel does,
1:40.1	doesn't it? It divides, and it unites. In direct reference to how the gospel would actually divide people,
1:47.1	Jesus said, I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. He also prayed that his true followers would be
1:53.9	united in him. So it got me thinking about the gospel and the emerging progressive Christian gospel
2:00.3	that seems to be underlying
2:01.7	some of the contrary comments. After all, Hollis wrote that after she studied the gospel,
