Before we go any farther, before we get into the nightmare we have been plunged into for the last week.

I just want to say one thing about Rush.

As you know, it's always a great honor for me to be here.

I owe Rush an awful lot.

I admire Rush, as I've said many times before, for a couple of reasons. One is

that he's the best at what he does, no question. He's been at the top of this game for

a third of a century. He invented this form. And the other reason is because Rush stood by me

a couple of years ago when there were powerful people trying to finish

me off in the United States of America and send me scurrying back to Canada. And Rush stood by me.

And I will always be grateful for that because basically he, whatever presence I have in this country,

he saved me and he turned it around for me.

And I will always own for that.

But the third reason is the way he's reacted to what he's been going through these last few months.

The minute he made this announcement on January, after a while, it became pretty clear that he was having treatment weeks once every three weeks.

So I've got one of these, you know, whatever it is, a year planner.

And I just sort of marked off every third week as the week that Rush was likely to be away so that I didn't schedule a trip to London or whatever.

I'd be available in those weeks.
