What is it?

The fourth month of lockdown.

My hair's white.

My beard's grown three inches since yesterday's show.

I got two chipmunks nesting in it, which is really irritating.

I'm sitting here in my Charlie Rose Barthrobe that I got in a PBS fundraiser in 1998,

the Charlie Rose Barthrobe, court not included. It's the one he uses for the second interview

with prospective interns. What a degrading life?

How long is this going to go on for is the big question?

There's the old analogy about switching the light bulb on and the V-shaped recovery.

Nobody seems to be talking about that anymore.

But tentatively clicking up the

dimmer switch and I don't know whether there is a letter for what this recovery, if such

there be, is going to look like. When I left you yesterday, we basically were in the situation

where we'd had it on again, off again, on again,

with the White House Corona Task Force conference,

and we were told it wasn't going to be a White House Corona Task Force

and that the president was going to speak to the nation.
