As Representative Jamie Raskin from Maryland is behind the podium as we speak just a little bit after 12 noon Eastern time.

And this is an incredible sight to see because the facts by and large of this impeachment,

if you've been watching it in the last 24 hours, whether in live real time or in the replays

overnight, the principal fact is not in doubt. The fact that there was a riot at the Capitol. whether in live real time or in the replays overnight.

The fact that there was a riot at the Capitol, but what is still in doubt are two important pieces of this puzzle.

And as I've been watching this, and I know as many of you have been watching this, getting

ready to listen to the Rush Limbaugh show today,

and I'm so honored to be sitting in once again for one of my great heroes in broadcasting,

and that is Rush Limbaugh.

I find myself scratching my head because the fact of the riot is not in doubt.

The fact of the culpability of a former president is the thing that's a contention.

And this has taken on a feeling to me of near religious certitude. In many ways, it mirrors the contentions that we saw take place with the Russia collusion hoax and the

Ukraine impeachment hoax. The true believers truly believe that the president of the United

States directed hundreds or thousands of people to lay siege to the Capitol.

But all of those people are the same people who already can't stand the president,

couldn't stand him for four years, couldn't stand him for five, five and a half when he started

running for office coming down the golden escalator.

It's an incredible thing to watch play out here because
