0:43.4	Jay. So you guys have quite a story.
0:45.8	Areli, we were talking a little bit about that before we started. So tell me kind of
0:49.4	how the band came about and recording on the first album, all that kind of stuff.
0:53.7	Yes, some of us kind of knew each other just from being on the music scene in New Orleans and
0:58.6	mutual friends in that, but we were all a part of a band before called Chihuah.
1:04.6	That's how we met each other and that's where we really
1:06.7	started developing our chemistry,
1:08.8	getting on the same page in terms of music and vision and what it is that we want to do out here in the world.
1:16.1	Awesome. And that band was also Grammy nominated, correct? Yeah, that's right.
1:20.1	Yeah, the album that came out in 2021 called My People was Grammy nominated and that included all of us in the band.
1:29.0	Exception of our drummer Trent O'Neill, but he joined us on one of those tours.
1:34.1	Yeah, that's amazing to have a band that come out of a Grammy-nominated band and then your debut album
1:38.7	with a new band is also Grabbing nominated.
1:40.4	I don't know, even, I mean, that might be a historic thing, I don't know even I mean this and I might be a historic thing I don't know.
1:46.1	So Joseph you have an interesting background well you guys all do but are you are you
1:50.3	part of an Indian tribe or I don't know and I also know there's a Mardi Gras culture involved in that.
1:54.7	Absolutely. Well yeah I'm a third generation chief of a Mardi Gras Indian tribe or black masking Indian tribe.
