Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader.

I'm your Cult Leader Spencer Henry and this week we're discussing a relatively short-lived

cult from Nebraska.

And while its duration wasn't terribly long, the horrors that unfolded are unparalleled.

This is probably one of the most gruesome stories we've covered thus far.

I actually started looking into this story last July, but for some reason I shelved it

until now and I'm glad I did, because when I was going through my notes and saved articles,

it was apparent that there was more to this story than I had previously realized.

One of those situations where sometimes you gotta walk away, come back to it with fresh

eyes, you know, see things from a different angle, and I'm not sure there's an actual name

for today's Cult either.

I've seen it dubbed the Rulow Cult as it primarily took place in the little town of Rulow,

Nebraska.

And when I say little, I mean it, as of 2020 the population stands around 144, and it

doesn't seem like there's too much happening in Rulow in recent decades, but I'll tell
