Summary

Since April 1924, the Royal Canadian Air Force has defended Canadians and all freedom-loving people not just in the skies over North America but indeed, all over the world.

On this episode, Lieutenant General Eric Kenny, Commander of the RCAF, explains the military element's century of service from World War 2 through current global struggles. LGen Kenny also explains the many activities and events occurring in 2024 to celebrate and showcase the centennial of service, honoring past, present, and the future generation of RCAF service members.

0:41.0	Lieutenant General Eric Kenny joined the Canadian Armed Forces in
0:44.5	1989 and graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with a degree in
0:49.4	computer engineering. He completed pilot training in 1995 and was selected to fly the CF-188 Hornet.
0:56.0	General Kenny served as a Hornet line and instructor pilot and flight supervisor at 433 and 410 Tactical Fighter Squadrons.
1:03.0	He held several command positions,
1:04.4	including commanding officer of 409 Tactical Fighter Squadron,
1:07.8	commander of Four Wing,
1:09.0	and commander of One Canadian Air Division,
1:11.1	Canadian Norad region.
1:12.8	General Kenny has deployed numerous times
1:14.6	and participated in multiple operations.
1:16.8	He accumulated 2,900 flying hours, mostly in Hornets.
1:20.3	He is a graduate of the NATO Tactical Leadership Program, Fighter, Weapons Instructor course,
