It doesn't necessarily mean it's Friday when you're listening to this, but this is the Friday edition of the That Chapter podcast. Today's story for you, folks, is the story of the Rose Petal murder that occurred 2021 in South Carolina. It's a bit of a, not going to

lie, it's a bit of an odd one, so-called the Rose Petal murder, because the victim was found,

covered in daffodils, surprisingly. Who would have guessed that? It's a really weird case.

This is a story that when I was researching into it, I was absolutely shocked,

honestly, because when I first heard about it and started reading articles about it, stumbled

across it, it just seemed to be a custody battle kind of thing, and then, you know, the mom was

murdered or somebody hired, yeah, that kind of thing.

Or even with the Rose Petal title, I thought it was like a love, love triangle, gone wrong, or unrequited love, rejection, girlfriend, ex-girlfriend, that kind of thing.

It's completely not.

Nobody in this story is a good person, that's for damn sure.

But, I mean, when you're talking to true crime, uh, rarely is.

But just how bad some people involved in this story were.

Um, it was truly, uh, disturbing.

Really, everybody in this story kind of, uh, awfully sucks.

It's what story, you know?

I'm not just going to let it play out.
