Summary

Jim and A.Ron have a split decision on the forth episode of Amazon's The Romanoffs, "Expectations". A.Ron found it pointless and borderline unwatchable, where Jim was drawn into the human element of Amanda Peet's Julia struggling to deal with a secret that has been weighing on her conscience for 20 years. Regardless, the episode does feature engaging performances from very likable stars (the previously mentioned Peet, and John Slattery). What did you think? Tell us using the contact info below! performance from Amanda Pete. I thought she was actually really good.

Her character, it's I guess tough for me to relate to her character,

off. Okay.

1:13.0

I mean, I've seen Amanda Pete play unlikeable characters before, like a saving Silverman,

1:20.0

but there's always been like a comic sensibility to it.

1:24.5

Maybe it's because this is just another instance of Matthew Weiner

playing the genre conventions, but I felt like a lot of this stuff was shot

1:32.0

and scripted as a comedy,

1:34.2

but everyone, it has the sensibilities of a drama,
