Why? Because there were certain actors at the Southern Baptist Convention play that have delivered new lines that are causing some people to scratch their heads and wonder,

Huh, do they have a case that they can make for the ordination of women in ministry?

In my estimation, this is the big issue.

The other issues that we thought would be broiling just didn't really, broiling or broiling that were cooking.

We just didn't see anything come about CRT.

Whether or not the denomination is going to be abolitionist or incrementalist regarding the life issue, financial accountability for now.

None of those issues were really brought into the spotlight as much as the issue of role of women.

Okay, the sex abuse stuff that got a lot of attention, but the role of women was vying for lead actor when Rick Warren stepped up to the microphone to deliver what he called a love letter to the Southern Baptist Convention and told the audience,

the messengers gathered, hey, let's quit arguing over secondary issues, one of which in his opinion is the ordination of women in ministry. Why? Because a year or so ago he ordained three females as pastors at Saddleback Church.

The committee that determines whether you get to stay in the convention or not just wasn't able to come up with any sort of a decision, tried to kick the can down the street.
