A lone rider sits astride his horse, the California wind stirring his long black hair.

They call this man the Robin Hood of El Dorano.

To some he's an Avenger, a man who strikes back at the Anglo-Vigilantes and fortune-seekers

who stole his home, his livelihood, and even his family.

He raids settlements and mining camps, who pays out his spoils to less fortunate Mexicans

and Native Californians suffering under a brutal new order.

So says his legend, spreading across the land.

But now he is the hunted one, his band dwindling and a bounty on his head.

In the distance comes the faint thunder of hoofbeats.

Breathing deep, he checks the grip of his revolver, spurs his horse, and gallops away into the gathering haze.

If this is to be his last ride, he will face it knowing he has served justice.

the legendary Robin Hood of El Dorado. Murietta was said to have fought for Mexicans,

driven from their claims during the California gold rush,
