No no not really, Tuesday report by the GAO government

Accountability Office revealed the Department of Defense failed its fifth

audit in a row after it could not account for at least 20 to twenty

billion dollars in government furnished property.

Whoa, wow, yeah, the D.O.D has been mandated by the federal government to complete

audit since 1994 since launching its first independent audit since 1994.

Since launching its first independent audit in 2017,

the Pentagon has never passed.

The Pentagon failed its fifth audit in November after the agency could not prove

expenditures for 61% of its 3.5 trillion dollars in assets.

To perform this year's overall audit of the Do Day, which is expected to cost $217 million the agencies aggregated 27 separate audits conducted

by 1600 auditors.

And they found a whole hell of a lot of lack of accountability. The GAO study reported that what auditors alerted the DoD in 2001

that the agency failed to keep track of its government furnished property.

DoD's lack of accountability over government property and the possession of contractors has been reported by auditors for decades.

This longstanding issue affects the accountability and reporting of the GFP and is one of the reasons

D.O. Day is unable to produce auditable financial statements.

That sounds all fancy and everything. But it means that your money is not being managed well.
