Evening everybody, welcome to another episode of Why You Laughing, a history of comedy podcast.

And today, I am pleased to introduce to you the roast of Patrice O'Neill.

Those of you that have been with us since the beginning, though, around this time of year.

We lost the great Patrice O'Neill, November 29th, 2011.

Crazy that it's been 12 years already.

So this is typically the time of year we do our Patrice episode.

And today I decided to do the roast of Patrice, because we still hear a lot about it,

specifically two stories that we'll get to at the end.

There are two moments from this roast that live on today that you hear get mentioned on

comedy podcasts and things like that.

But also, it's interesting to me, this is kind of a roast for the sake of the comedians,

which is pretty rare in the sense that we had, we, we, we, I had to make a choice when pulling these clips.
