Well, howdy there, Internet people, it's Bell again. And welcome to the Roads with Bell. Today is the

roads to Trump's nominees. So, a number of Trump's nominees have had their hearings, and we're going to

run through the highlights of each and see if there's anything we can pick up on from the hearings.

Okay, so we're going to start off with Pam Bondi. This is Trump's pick for Attorney General.

Bondi was asked about the prosecution of Trump's political enemies. She didn't give a straight

answer and simply said she wouldn't answer hypotheticals.

She was asked repeatedly about a 2023 appearance in which she said, quote,

The prosecutors will be prosecuted, the bad ones, the investigators will be investigated.

She was asked if she would be independent and had the independence to tell Trump that he lost in 2020. She said it was a gotcha question.

When she was asked about a number of Trump's public statements, she said she wasn't familiar

with them, which was definitely read as a dodge. She was asked about Trump pardoning January 6th defendants.

She said that it was at the president's discretion. Some people are saying that was a dodge,

but really it's a simple statement of fact. The president has absolute control over pardons.

One notable undercurrent was concern about the appointment of Cash Patel.

Despite the non-answers and general displeasure,

the vote count math on her suggests she's all but confirmed.

Russell Vought.

He's the pick for Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

He's also the architect of Project 2025.

This office is normally largely ignored, but is going to be critical given some of Trump's statements about withholding funding.

Vought was asked directly by Senator Blumenthal if he

believed the impoundment control act is constitutional. Vought said, quote, no, I don't believe it's
