Hello and welcome to the latest episode in a special limited series of podcasts from

the DSR Network. No issue is more important to the world than climate change. Later this

year, world leaders will gather in Dubai for COP28, the most important international

summit at which critical climate issues are discussed. This series of podcasts will

look at the crucial issues to be discussed at COP28 from the perspective of leading experts

from around the world. Each of the podcasts will feature elements from a series of five

live expert roundtables we convene to explore the road to COP28 and beyond. Each of the

roundtables are hosted by highly regarded leaders from the climate and international affairs

communities. The discussions are presented as they happened live and without editing.

We were very fortunate to have as the chairperson of our fourth roundtable discussion,

Allison Agsten, the director of the USC Annenberg Center for Climate Journalism and Communication

and curator at the Riggly Institute for Environment and Sustainability. This panel entitled

Arts, Activism, and Combat and Climate Change explores the role that artists and activists

play in the fight against climate change and the ways everyone can do their part to create
