Hello, you know what, we thought there wouldn't be another edition of Newscast until, well, pretty much the end of this month.

And then, in the last couple of days all of these events in

Afghanistan which we're all trying to process and understand and that's what we're

going to try and do on this emergency edition of newscast.

Taliban forces entered the heart of the Afghan capital Kabul today, the culmination of a

rapid advance and retaking of control.

I can't believe the world abandoned Afghanistan.

Our friends are going to get killed.

They're going to kill us.

The saddest part is that I didn't expect this, but now I might face consequences that I never even dreamed of.

Our God, our Quran says that woman is a very important part of our society.

We want to avoid bloodshed onto destruction.

People crowded around departing aircraft

and some even clung on as the planes took off. Several are reported to have been killed.

Our mission in Afghanistan was never supposed to be nation building.

It was never supposed to be creating a unified, centralized democracy.

We boast about global Britain, but where is global Britain on the streets of

Kabul?

We will judge this regime based on the choices it makes, and by its actions rather than by its words.
