Welcome to Jimmy's Jobs of the Feature. Today's guest is Rebecca Kelly, who runs Venuescanner.

Now the pandemic affected all of us in different ways, but it probably impacted Rebecca

more than most of us as she was running an events company at the time. She came on

my radar thanks to the interview we did with Greg Marsh at the start of the year, where

we did the Pastor Mike section. Greg is one of the UK's most renowned entrepreneurs,

having started one fine stay, exiting it to a core hotel, and now runs now. So without

further ado, onto Rebecca Kelly of Venuescanner.

Rebecca, welcome to Jimmy's Jobs of the Feature. Thanks Jimmy, great to be here.

So the name Venuescanner is a little bit like Ronsal in terms of it does what it says

on the tin, but can't give us the reason why you behind it and what it actually does as

well.

Totally stole it from Skyscanner. We just didn't go and missed from their founder either.

Yeah, when we first started first 24 hours, we were like, what can we name it? Venuescanner,

Skyscanner for everything, for flights, you know, bookie.com hotels and Skyscanner, Venuescanner

felt like a good fit. I think definitely went that does what it says on the tin, although

lots of people we first started thought that it was like a scanner for Skanner.

A cabaret, yeah.

And so tell us the origin story of it, how did you start it?

So it was around 2016 when concept first started. I was working at M&S at the time and

met my co-founder there. We were working together and I was kind of very keen grad at that

point in time that was like, I'll do everything. And one of those things ended up being

organizing, you know, the off-site meetings, fashion shows, our company Christmas party,
