But he's unlike any that have gone before him.

RFK Jr.'s journey has taken him from a traumatized kid to drug addiction to environmental

activist, anti-vaxxer, and conspiracy theorist.

And now, to one of the most powerful positions in the Trump administration.

We now have a president who is a man of his word.

In Frontline's latest film, The Rise of R of K Jr., director Michael Kirk has documented

Kennedy's life through all these stages.

It's a fantastic film. And this time on the Frontline Dispatch, we're going to try to do something new.

So, Michael, you've made so many important political, biographical films for Frontline over the years.

Why RFK Jr. and what drew you to him?

It's a fabulous cross-generational narrative that also has about it the rise and the fall of

ideology, the democratic progressive ideology embodied by his uncle, the President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, his father of presidential candidate, his uncle, Ted Kennedy, who was the champion for many liberal causes.

It's the definition of change from one perspective growing up in one way to another one, which is more Trump-oriented,

which is more mega-oriented, which is more conservative. And that transition and how somebody
